  • 1/2 year progress report

I think it is good practice to actually monitor myself on my goals.  I went back to my January post and checked on my 2010 goals.  I forgot a few of them, oops:

    1) Eliminate all credit card debtI'm at $1,400 down from $3,800, so not too bad.  I'm on track to clear this soon, but I did hope to be done by now though.  Rating: GOOD

    2) see the Eiffel Tower in personRating: SUCCESS!

    3) Do/ create art  errrr.  I have been keeping up with Ballet and scrapbooking, but I think I need to get back to Sumie or something.  Rating: GET ON IT!

    4) Visit a long distance friend/ use frequent flyer miles for the first time: I did visit friends in Paris, though I'm sure I meant a different trip.  I do have many miles now, though I wonder if I will have the time to use them.  Rating: GET ON IT!

    5) have a better body (run faster, climb better, be stronger, inches lost, better hair...):  I think my hair is good, but being in the hospital really took me out of the training game.  Rating: GET ON IT!

  • Nice. I realized I don't have any attainable short term goals. Does finally deciding to transfer out of my school count?

As soon as you've fully recouperated from the battle with pneumonia you'll have #3 an 5 covered. Between ballet and running you've got your strength and cardio covered. Throw in dog walking/chasing, and you're triple covered.

Yeah for cutting down your credit card debt! That's one of my goals (guess I found a goal) for this year. Mine should be done by January. I'm at $2200, but teacher's salary and ridiculously high housing doesn't allow for me to put down as much as I want. Contemplating moving into my friend's house (if the room becomes available this fall) where the rent will be $400 cheaper.

    Keep dancing!

  • @Saferia - Thanks for the encouragement.  I think deciding to move out of your school does count!  Also, good luck on the debt!  Yeah.. the hospital bills this month are not helping me work on mine either... c'est la vie.

  • Love lists and checking back on them! It just helps you keep on track. You have very attainable and realistic goals; so I have no doubt that you will accomplish them. Sorry to hear that you were in the hospital; but I'm sure you'll be back in the training game in no time.
