I've feel like I've been belly-aching and bitching on here a lot lately.
Me: boohooo, I want to buy a house, boohooo I want to get out of this dead-end job blah blah blah. Two tears in a bucket!
Even though none of that has changed, I do really enjoy my friends and Turkish class. I really, really like my Turkish class. So much so, that I've only paused doing my homework to write about liking class on xanga.
My friends are great too. They care about me enough to pretend they are interested when I go off on a whining streak about wanting a garden and a closet....
I just got a wedding invite-- June in Jamaica. I wonder if I'll be able to pull that off?
Poll: Jamaica-- terrifying OR worth it??
Also, I am making progress on my Daughters of the American Revolution application. This is possibly the most conservative thing I've done since going to those NRA banquets. What's next? I could join the Elks Lodge.

If money and time aren't a huge concern, you should definitely go. Gotta travel before you have kids and a mortgage!

On Jamaica: If you can afford it, do it! And the sooner you can buy your tickets the better as gas prices are rising...

On Turkish: "adom" That's the only word I can remember in Turkish, so I'm going to need a translator when I make my trip. Keep studying for me!
On DAR: Wow! I vaguely remember a post about this... Part of American history and claiming your heritage, do it. =) YOu'll be one of the most liberal conservatives the DAR has ever known!
On The Elks Lodge: Do they allow women to join? If so, do it! If you can trek hundreds of miles through Japan, you can be a full fledged member of the Elk.
@coolnahalf - @Saferia - Thanks for the encouragement. The Elks thing is kind of a joke. My Dad is a member. I'm sure he would be happy if I joined (yes, women are now 'allowed' ha ha ha)
