Without having seen the film, I'm going to have to go with the Italians. Italian food (and all of those lovely carbs) sticks with you for hours after you've eaten. Japanese food makes you feel full for a moment, but an hour later you're wondering if you forgot to eat dinner. my 2 euros/yen.
@Saferia - ha ha. I know... my first instinct was to go with all the wonderful pasta with great sauce and red wine.... but then, think of all the fantastic sushi and gyoza and ramen and beer. So hard to decide.
