whaaaaat! very strange metaphor... it reminds me though of when i was little and there was a meteor headed to earth and no one knew what was going to happen... and so nickelodeon kept saying that the world was filled with slime and might explode! so when the meteor got diverted then they created a slime fountain and said that's why the world didn't blow up. i was really really scared that the world would explode because of the slime but i think that's better than a little kid worrying about a meteor??
as you can see my memory of this is fuzzy... luckily... heh. do you remember that at all???
Hmmm.... A propoganda video so the people left in Fukushima and those in Tokyo don't freak out and leave? Maybe a bit inappropriate, but it has that government/official sounding voice over so it might have been a commissioned clip to put people at ease and give them the government's perspective on what is happening with the downed reactor.
@thesolution007 - @Saferia - Yeah, I'm not really sure how to take this video. I actually got it from my boss who asked me if the subtitles were correct (as in, is this really f-ing saying that?!) All I can say is that this is SO Japanese, cuteness in the face of danger, obsession with poop and remembering to thank the 'doctors.' then there is the whole, what happened in the rest of the world won't happen in Japan because we are different (better). ha ha. What an excellent cultural marker. Also, now I know the word for Boron. That's good, right?
@justgotspaid - i recognize the poop obsession from pet society.
