  • baby, baby, baby oooooh!

If only I had a beautiful boy to sing to me every morning after my shower and every night before I go to bed....

A dream come true.  Available at Walgreens.  I want him, er, this.

Another thing that is amusing is the movie, "Still Walking."  That is the English title anyway.  Besides starring Hiroshi Abe, who is crazy good-looking, the dialogue in this movie is amazing.

If you ever thought to yourself, "I wonder what it's like for justgotspaid when she hangs out with all her in-laws?  I wonder why she gets tired out from them so easily?"  This shows the workings of family dynamic in Japan so perfectly; all the fussing, all the sensitivity, all the getting in someone's business while trying to hide your own.  Netflix recommended it to me and now I am recommending it to you.

  • extended version

Too awesome.  I'm so glad I discovered this last night.  Kyohei makes fun of me for watching this so much.

Why do all Rome & Juliet / West Side Story -type things appeal to me so much?  Daddy issues?  ha ha ha

  • rollercoaster!

[insert humming the Red Hot Chili Pepper hit here]

"Elaine, don't get too down. Everything will even out. See, I have two friends. You were up, he was down. Now he's up, you're down. You see how it all evens out for me?"
    - Jerry Seinfeld, in "The Opposite"

I had a great weekend (starting Thursday night).  I even fell into crush approximately 2 times, give or take 1.  I was invited to gatherings in public.  I managed to go out to 3 bars and a) did not feel annoyed that I was at a bar b) did not come home smelling of smoke c) did not spend a lot of money.  I managed to say only a handful of offensive things, which is excellent considering the breadth of time and volume I had to drink.  These people even became my facebook friends after the fact.  phew.

Side note:  What is going ON with me lately?  The past week or so seems to have turned into a peacock parade of temptation.  Why do guys, who I find contemptible and disgusting in general, seem so darn attractive lately?  I have literally run into every mini-crush I've had in the area recently.  Why now?  I hate this.  Also, and this might sound a little too 'Jersey Shore,' but sometimes I can't help but want to just make out with someone out of boredom.  I WON'T, jeez, I like being married too much.  I'm just saying.  I miss the making-out.  That's all.

And real-life xanga friends, don't even ask who these might be.  You don't know them and I'm never telling.  ever.

This was all eclipsed, naturally, when I discovered that one of my dearest friends had been admitted to the hospital under mysterious conditions last night (panic attack, heart attack, seizure???) .  I can't focus and NOTHING that I could possibly have to do at work today is as important to me.  I can't wait to get out of here so I can run over to the hospital.

    My Anthem:
    And sometimes when you're on
    You're really fuckin on
And your friends they sing along
    And they love you
But the lows are so extreme
That the good seems fuckin cheap
And it teases you for weeks in its absence
But you'll fight and you'll make it through
You'll fake it if you have to
And you'll show up for work with a smile
    You'll be better
    And You'll be smarter
And More grown up and a better daughter or son
    And a real good friend
    And you'll be awake
    You'll be alert
You'll be positive though it hurts
And you'll laugh and embrace all your friends
And you'll be a real good listener
    You'll be honest
    You'll be brave
You'll be handsome and you'll be beautiful
    You'll be happy

  • not-so-productive behavior

What have I been up to lately?

Thursday:  I drank a bunch of mudslides at trivia night so my team could get points.  This almost makes up for me never knowing any trivia.

Friday:  I went to not one, but 2 dance classes (and worked on Turkish homework).  Actually, Friday might have been productive

Saturday:  We went to our first Italian greyhound meet-up.  It amazes me that there are enough people in this town with these weird dogs to form a group.

Most of the time Chitah hung around our legs hiding from her would-be-friends.

Look at the other Italian Greyhounds playing!  They come in so many colors

Eventually she made one little friend with this dog named, Sealy.  Cute.

Then I went to the mall, met Justin Bieber and we made out.

People are always saying how lucky I am to have married a chef.
This is one of the things he made-a triple sandwich; one layer of ham, one of egg salad and topped with butter and strawberry jam.  yummmmmm, right?  Luckily, I had gone out to eat with friends that night.

  • Xanga, I've miss you

OK!  That was probably the longest hiatus I've ever taken from Xanga.  I have to say, I hated it.  Now, it looks like the site is back up and running like it was in the past.  Let's try and put a photo on here and see if that works again:

Here are two recent photos of my household pets: Mimi, Chitah and husband.
It looks like Xanga is rejecting the size of my photos now.  I'll have to compress them before I add them to this site.  2 extra steps = few photo posts, I'm assuming.

WTF, xanga!  I hate when stuff changes, especially if it makes things more time-consuming and inconvenient.

I don't want to start a new blog because
    1) I would lose my 6 year history with xanga
    2) I would lose the few xanga friends I have left

BUT, I'm really starting to get annoyed with this.
